Call For Speakers - Idaho Montana Rendezvous 2019

This is a "Call for Speakers" to submit your proposal to speak at IMASLA Rendezvous in Boise, Idaho May 16-18. If you are interested in sharing your knowledge and expertise with over 150 landscape architects, please submit a prospectus NO LATER THAN November 16, 2018!

Theme:

“GROW"  The focus will be on growth of the profession, community and self. Education topics should tie to this theme in some form.

The Rendezvous is the #1 Regional Trade Show and Educational Conference for Landscape Decision Makers in the Idaho/Montana region.

Deadline: Friday, November 16, 2018

Guidelines:
Speakers should have a background in academia or speak from their field experience; vendors with field experience are also encouraged to submit; however the presentation should have generic elements. Please note, vendors are required to purchase a booth at the show, but will receive a discounted rate. IMASLA is looking for presentations on topics such as:

  • Landscape Architecture

  • Land and Cultural Preservation

  • Water Conservation

  • The Urban Environment

  • Designing Evolving Landscapes

  • Professional and Personal Development

  • Financing/Funding Growth

You may submit a request to speak on any of these topics, or any topic you feel might be of interest to landscape architect professionals and students. Each session should be 1 hour in length, but we recommend covering content for approximately 50 minutes, to allow for 10 minutes of valuable Q & A.

To Submit your Prospectus:
Please send your seminar proposal in either .docx or PDF format, include your seminar title and a paragraph describing the course with at least three learning objectives. Also, include full contact information, a brief biography with professional accomplishments and degrees, a color headshot image (this does not need to be professionally done, but needs to be at least 500 pixels) and any travel or honorarium requests. All proposals must be submitted in their entirety.

Selection Process:
You will receive a confirmation receipt after you have submitted your seminar proposal, and will be notified of our decision by January 4, 2019.

Compensation:
Each speaker will be publicized and their affiliation, institution or company will receive publicity through profiles, press releases and course descriptions on marketing materials. All travel and honorarium requests will be considered.

The deadline to submit a seminar proposal is Friday, November 16, 2018
