This session explores the growing decline in teen physical activity and how parks and recreation spaces can better support teenagers through intentional, socially driven, and movement-based design. Attendees will learn how traditional park models often fail adolescents — particularly girls — and discover practical strategies for creating inclusive, engaging, and active outdoor environments that encourage long-term community wellness.
