Integrated Design-Working Together for End Results

  • Holiday Inn | Missoula Downtown 200 South Pattee Street Missoula, MT United States (map)

The future of the profession and, indeed, the future of the planet, depends on us working together on every level.  Vaughn Rinner, FASLA, President of the American Society of Landscape Architects, will speak about her experience as a partner in an interdisciplinary regional firm collaborating on a variety of project types.  She will review the team approach needed to design a project based on ecosystem services, as required by the SITES Certification process. Beyond the individual project level, she will also discuss collaborating with communities and government representatives and of utilizing public-private partnerships to accomplish inclusive long-term planning, a necessity for creating resilient communities to address local issues related to global warming.

Session Speaker: Vaughn Rinner, FASLA, ASLA President
